GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL) has become the first airport in India to have an AI-powered digital twin platform with an advanced Airport Predictive Operation Centre (APOC). This system leverages AI (artificial intelligence), IoT (Internet of Things), and real-time analytics to enhance passenger experience and carry out airport operations seamlessly.
On Wed 11, Dec, 24 Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu inaugurated Airport Predictive Operation Centre. He called this centre a ‘game changer’ in India’s aviation sector. He said ‘The APOC facility will revolutionise civil aviation by ensuring seamless operations and saving costs’.
GMR Airports’ executive director-South and chief innovation officer, SGK Kishore said ‘By integrating real-time data and advanced analytics, we ensure reduced wait times, smooth passenger flow, and personalised services. This is the future of air travel’.
This AI-powered digital twin platform, combined with the APOC represents a significant leap in airport management and passenger experience. This innovative approach will encourage other airports to adopt similar technologies and enhance their operations and services.
This centre has set a new standard for airport operations nationally as well as globally.
